Air purifying plants: I love you green!

Publication: Oct 16, 2020

At BonBee we love plants for their beauty, but also because they are healthy and have a superpower: they are air purifiers! If you want to breathe in a healthier environment, free of allergens and pollutants, you should start by giving nature to your home.

It is no secret that, even when we are inside our homes, the air we breathe is not 100% clean. In most of our spaces we find furniture, fabrics, paints, plastics and other toxins that pollute the environment and can be harmful to our health.

Also, in case you didn't know, synthetic fragrances such as perfumes, insecticides, air fresheners, sprays, etc. are potentially harmful compounds for our environment. So, what are you waiting for to let yourself be carried away by the charm of green fashion in the decoration of your home and enjoy a real indoor garden?

Remember that, to have a healthy home full of good vibes, plants are your best friends!

Let your home breathe ECO!

In this blog post we have selected 4 air-purifying plants that are very easy to care for and look beautiful in every corner of the house!
-Potatoes: the potato is a classic plant. Resistant and with a great capacity to clean the air of volatile compounds such as benzene, formaldehyde, among others. To live well it needs to be in a temperature between 15 and 21 degrees (although some colder days can withstand up to 10 degrees). Remember that it likes lighting, but not to be in direct sunlight. You should also water it once a week if necessary.

-Anthurium: Anthurium is a striking houseplant because of the red color and shape of its flowers. Although it is used for ornamentation, it belongs to the group of air-purifying plants, as it is capable of eliminating gases such as toluene, benzene or xylene from the environment. Water it when you see that the soil is dry and do not forget to put it in a luminous area (not in direct sunlight).

-Zamioculca: if we are talking about resistant plants, the zamioculca is the one to choose. In addition to purifying the air in your home, it is easy to care for because it only needs watering every 15 days. It is ideal if you are one of those who spend little time at home. Locate it close to natural light.

-Spathiphyllum or peace flower: this plant looks spectacular in every corner. Its white flowers bloom all year round. It is an expert in cleaning many of the pollutants found in the air and does not need excessive watering.

At BonBee we bring your plants to your home
